5th Inspire Camp came to a phenomenal close

Jalandhar 27 July (Jaswinder Azad)- The 5th edition of DST sponsored Inspire Internship Camp came to a phenomenal close on 27th July.  Dr. S.K. Dogra from IIT Kanpur and Dr. Inderjeet Kaur were accorded a warm welcome by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Dr. Dogra expressed his views on the topic ‘Chemistry is bigger than life’.  He discussed about the benefits of using methane as a fuel for cooking. Students put up enthusiastic participation in the quiz conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.  The quiz was followed by a lecture of Dr. Inderjeet Kaur on ‘Role of Science and Scientists in our life’ and asked the students to have a keen observation of the changes happening around. The valedictory session was chaired by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and distinguished guests  Dr. S.K. Dogra, Mr. Baljinder Singh.  Addressing the students Dr. Sareen motivated them to possess a scientific temperament and share the experience of the camp with their friends to create awareness among them.  Announcing the results of the quiz  Dr. Anjana told that in Quiz competition Meritorious School won the first position, Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School Nehru Garden stood second and Cantt. Board School stood third.  In Innovative Writing DAV School bagged first position, HMV bagged second position and Cantt. Board School won third position.  The students called the camp a great success in their feedback of the camp.  Mr. Gurpinder Singh and Madam Shalagha were honoured by the Principal.  Dr. Neelam Sharma gave a vote of thanks. On this occasion, Mrs. Deepshikha, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dr. Jitender, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Shaveta Chauhan, Dr. Nitika Kapoor, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Mrs. Purnima Sharma, Mrs. Asha Gupta, Mr. Sumit Sharma, Mr. Sushil Kumar, Mrs. Ramandeep were also present.
