11 Cases Of Dengue Larva Spotted During Inspection By Anti-Larva Cell Under ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’

Jalandhar October 26 (Jaswinder Azad)- In its ongoing drive against vector-borne diseases under ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’, the anti-larva cell of the Health Department and the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar today detected 11 dengue larva cases in various localities. Four teams of anti-larva cell led by Mr Raj Kumar, Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Mr Sarabjeet and Mr Gurwinder Singh Bajwa carried checking in Masha colony, Lamba Pind, New Santokhpura and New Hargobind Nagar. During the checking, the team checked 288 houses, 62 waste containers and 35 air coolers. The team also issued four challans including two in Lamba Pind and two in New Santokhpura. The team members also held detailed interactions with the people during and apprised them that these places could act as a breeding ground for the mosquitoes to spread diseases like dengue, malaria and others.
