A Mock Parliament was staged by the Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar

Jalandhar 12 September (Jaswinder Azad)- A Mock Parliament was staged by the PG Department of Political Science, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Chief Guest for the program, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly welcomed by Prof. Manpreet Kaur, Head, PG Department of Political Science. This program was aimed at enlightening the youth about the various features, working and facets of the national parliament. This program witnessed an enthusiastic participation of students from the classes of MA Political Science and BA, who eloquently expressed their views on current issues such as Corruption and Unemployment whilst portraying themselves as members of Parliament. Addressing the audience Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra highlighted the role of an enlightened youth in the development of a country such as India whilst also lauding the activities of the Political Science Department of the college in the same sphere. The program was also attended by Dr. Harjit Singh, Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Anu Moom and Prof. Kuldip Khullar.
