ADC REVIEWS PREPARATIONS OF MEGA JOB FAIRS

DIRECTS OFFICIALS TO ENSURE BOTH EVENTS HUGE SUCCESSFUL
Jalandhar November 12 (Jaswinder Azad)- The additional deputy commissioner (Development) Mr. Jitendra Jorwal on Monday reviewed the preparations of two mega job fairs being organized by district administration under Punjab Government’s flagship employment generation program ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’.
The first job fair would be held at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology on November 14 and CT Groups of Institutes, Shahpur would host the second such camp on November 18.
Holding a meeting with various departments in district bureau of Employment and Enterprise, Mr. Jorwal directed the officials to set up ‘May I Help You’ desks during the job fairs to offer every type of assistance to the youths participating there.
He said that besides filling of forms for the registration, the employees on the desk would help the youths to find out the companies matching with their credentials easily without wasting their energy and precious time.
ADC also fixed the duties of officials with each company or industrial house participating in the job fairs for better coordination among all stakeholders.
Mr. Jorwal told that during the camps leading companies from across the globe including Ola, Uber, LIC of India, Facebook, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and others would offer jobs to the unemployed youth.
He said both job fairs expected to generate around 5000 youth from across the district.
He said that the interested students could apply for the jobs by registering themselves with the District Bureau of Employment generation or logging in towww.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.
On the occasion, District Employment officer Ms. Ranjit Kaur, Block thematic Manager Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Mr. Pankaj Saini, Mr. Suraj Kler were present.
