Basant Panchami was celebrated at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar February 9 (Jaswinder Azad)- The colourful seasonal occasion of Basant Panchami was today celebrated with full vivacity and festivity at Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Jagran Group of Publications. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra conveyed his best wishes and congratulated the staff and students on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Mr. Varinder Walia, Chief Editor, Punjabi Jagran and Tejinder Kaur Thind, Deputy Editor, Punjabi Jagran also expressed their cheerful feelings on this occasion and on behalf of their publishing house, vowed to continue such efforts to promote Punjabi Culture, Language and Heritage. The students of the college showcased the vibrant tradition of Punjab depicting the spirit of inner freedom, creative pride and zest for life through dance and singing presentations. The tradition of flying colourful kites was also carried out as the main attraction of the program. College Dean for Academic Affairs Prof. Jasreen Kaur along with Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, PG Department of Punjabi thanked the representatives from Jagran Group of Publications, Principal, staff and the gathered audience to concluded the colourful program.
