CT Institute of Hotel Management marks World Tourism Day

Culture of 10 states presented at CT Group of Institutions
Jalandhar September 28 (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) celebrated United Indian Fest on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Students displayed different stalls portraying 10 different states of India like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Sikkim, Rajasthan and Goa etc.
The festival commenced with an oath taking ceremony where all the students pledged to remain united without any discrimination of caste, color or religion, followed by a cultural walk where in students demonstrated the attire, culture and dance of different states. Later, students showcased various USPs of each state in different stalls exhibited that was the major highlight of the program.
Charanjit S Channi, Chairman, Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, Tanika Singh were present on the occasion along with the staff and students of CT Group.
Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director of CTIHM said, “The students and faculty have left no stone unturned in making this event a success. The students have made the attire and props that were exhibited at their stalls on their own with the day and night efforts. This event was the practical training for the students of Airlines, Tourism and Hotel Management.”
Manbir Singh, Managing Director appreciated the hard efforts of the students and faculty of the department in organizing such a wonderful and colorful event representing culture of ten different states.
