CTIEMT holds the first runner up trophy
Rocking & Radiant IKG PTU Zonal Youth Festival 2018 concludes with vibrant Giddha and Western Group Song
Jalandhar October 18 (Jaswinder Azad)- Giving a tough competition to other 18 teams, DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) has managed to bag the overall trophy of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU) Zonal Youth Fest 2018 at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus. Whereas, CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology (CTIEMT) has bagged the first Runners-up trophy.
Giddha and Western Group Songs stole the show on the last day of the Youth Festival. This year, the theme of the festival was Youth against Drugs while it was dedicated to 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi. The festival had 31 different types of competitions throughout three days. In the fest, more than 500 students from 19 colleges participated including IKG PTU Amritsar Campus, Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology, Amritsar, Khalsa College of Management and Technology, Amritsar, SSCMT Amritsar, SSIET Dinanagar, GGI Gurdaspur, BCET Gurdaspur, CT Institute of Technology (CTIT), CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology (CTIEMT), DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), St. Soldier Institute of Engineering and Technology and many more.
Sameer Sharma, Assistant Director Youth Affairs, IKG-PTU appreciated the efforts of CT Group for organizing the youth festival successfully. He congratulated the management of the Institution for providing wonderful assistance to the university in hosting this mega event at their campus.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions, Manbir Singh, Managing Director and Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman felicitated the judges for the day. The medals and trophies were presented by BS Sekhon, Observer and Former Director Youth Affairs GNDU, CT Campus Director Dr. GS Kalra and Cultural Officer Davinder Singh.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions congratulated all the winning teams and thanked the participating colleges across the North Zone for thundering and noteworthy performances. He also expressed his warm greeting to all teams and inspired them to learn and achieve more in their life.
