Bureau To Be Formally Inaugurated In The Third Week Of This Month

Jalandhar November 1 (Jaswinder Azad)- Under ambitious employment generation program ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ of Punjab Government, The District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises on Thursday has been started operating on the trial basis from its newly revamped and modern office situated on the third floor of the district administrative complex.
The office would be formally inaugurated in the third week of this month.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Jitendra Jorwal today visited the office and called it one-stop solution to facilitate the employment to the job-seekers.
Besides employment, the services of career guidance and counselling, skill and entrepreneurship development would be offered here, added DC.
Mr Sharma told that the bureau would register the job seekers with the government’s web portal “ghargharrozgarpunjab.gov.in here and their regular interactions would be held with the employers through the bureau.
DC further said that bureau would also give a variety of services to the employers and job seekers including understanding the requirements of both sides so that they can be assisted accordingly.
Moreover, the employers including heads of corporate houses, industrialists, educationists, and others are welcome for their valuable suggestions in making the services far better here.
During the visit, Mr Sharma also interacted with the job seekers in the bureau and asked the concerned officials to install a suggestion box here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Jitendra Jorwal informed that the Employment generation department would hold job fairs in coming days to provide employment opportunities to the youth.
He said that district administration is already on the task of roping in corporate houses, Industrial Units and leading entrepreneurs to provide jobs to the youth.
On the occasion, District Employment Officer Ms Ranjit Kaur and Employment Officer Mr Harmanpreet Singh were also present.
