Jalandhar December 21 (Jaswinder Azad)- The second & third day of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Computational Statistics & Data Analysis” saw deliberation on various tools & techniques which can be used by researchers for accurate analysis of data. Head of Dept. & Convenor of FDP Dr. Manohar Singh said that during various technical sessions held on there two days, Dr. Gurwinder Singh from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Dr. Alok K. Singh Kushwaha from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Dr. Anupam Yadav from NIT, Jalandhar & Dr. Parshant Rana Thakur from Thapar University, Patiala addressed participants of the FDP. Dr. Singh gave a talk on Data Science & Data Analytics; Dr. Anupam Yadav talked on soft computing techniques for data analytics; Dr. Kushwaha talked on the format for writing a research paper while Dr. Thakur gave a detailed practical session on Machine learning using R language. College Principal & FDP Chairperson Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra & Head of the Department Dr. Manohar Singh welcomed the resource persons and thanked them for their insightful talks. FDP coordinators, Mrs. Sandeep Bassi & Dr. Baldev Singh shared that nearly 57 participant from various institutions are participating in the program.
