Freshers Party “Jee Aaayan Nu” held at LKC

Jalandhar 14 September (Jaswinder Azad)- To welcome the new students of the department, a fresher party “Jee Aaayan Nu” was organised by PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College , Jalandhar. The party was held for the newly enrolled students of classes B.Voc (Software Development), B.Voc (Printing Technology), B.Sc (Computer Science), B.A Journalism & Mass Communication and Bachelor of Design (Multimedia). Chief Guest of the program, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra was joined by Mr. Sumit Kalia, a notable alumnus of the college who paid a special visit and reverence to the college, travelling all the way from USA for this particular occasion. They were accorded an Eco-friendly welcome by Head of Department Dr. Manohar Singh by gifting them potted plants. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra extended his best wishes to the fresher students and motivated them to work hard and bring laurels for themselves and to the institution. During the party, Modelling round, Question-Answer round, games and guest performances were held which were enjoyed immensely by the audience. Based on the modelling and question answer rounds, the title winners included Mr. Fresher, Ankit (B.Voc Software Development Sem-I), Ms. Fresher Shubhita (BAJMC Sem-I), Mr. Well Dressed Akashdeep Singh (Bachelor of Design Multimedia), Ms. Well Dressed Nikkita Sharma (BJMC Sem-I). On this occasion, a website created by Navjot Singh, a student of B.Voc (Software Development) was also launched by the guests. This website has been made to cater the academic needs of students of B.Voc and contains various question papers & study materials. Head of Department, Dr. Manohar Singh thanked the guests and congratulated the faculty members on the successful event. Jagjit Singh, Pawanpreet Kaur and Aaron conducted the stage. Faculty members Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Baldev Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Mandeep Bhatia, Prof. Gagandeep Singh, Prof. Ratnakar Mann and students of the department were also present on the occasion.
