Jalandhar June 24 (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar further extended its sports excellence on the international sphere when college athlete Gurindervir Singh won Gold medal in the Under-20 Asian Athletics Championship held in the country of Tajikistan. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra expressed his delight and pride on the hardworking student-athlete of the college and urged youngsters to follow their paths with such dedication. The victorious student and his coach, Sarabjit Singh Happy were also honored with a cash prize of Rs. 40,000. Dr. Jaspal Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education informed that under the watchful eye of his coach, Gurindervir Singh will now compete in the upcoming World University Championship to be held in Italy. On this occasion, S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secy. Governing Council and Principal Dr. Samra gave their best wishes to the athlete and hoped for similar outcomes in the events to come.
