Gurupurab Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar December 13 (Jaswinder Azad)- The students and staff here at Lyallpur Khalsa College paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara today as a part of the 549th Gurupurab celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. As per the respect laden program, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Pavittar Singh, Prof. Gurchetan Singh from the Music department recited Kirtan alongwith the students of the Department and were honoured with Siropas by Joint Secretary, Governing Council S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Dr. Manohar Singh, Dean Administration. In her message on this pious occasion, President of the College Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, emphasized the universal nature of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s revolutionary teachings much to the benefit of humanity. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that the college is committed to keep its virtue of an institution focusing on the inculcation of moral and spiritual values in students, in addition to imparting of education. He urged the students to seek guidance and moral strength from the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Keeping with the tradition, Guru ka Langar was served to one and all. Present on the occasion were Principals, Directors and Staff members of other institutions of KCL Group. Stage on this occasion was managed by Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon.
