HMV established Solid Waste Management Plant

Jalandhar December 20 (Jaswinder Azad)- The Innovation Cell in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Jalandhar established Solid Waste Management Plant at the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. This is a unique green initiative of the college in which the waste generated by the college will be decomposed organically and converted into organic fertilizers. Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jalandhar Sh. Diparva Lakra, IAS inaugurated this plant. Joint Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain, IAS and Vice President, DAVCMC & Chairman Local Committee Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud were also present on this occasion. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that HMV always initiates Green and eco-friendly projects so that safe, secure and green environment can be given to coming generations. She congratulated Dean Innovation Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda for this project. On this occasion, Principal DAV College Dr. S.K. Arora, all the members of teaching and non teaching staff were also present.
