HMV shines in Youth Fest

Students keeps the sparks alive on the 4th day of GNDU Zonal Youth Fest
Jalandhar November 3 (Jaswinder Azad)- Students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar added glories to the enigma of their alma mater, performing with all the vigour and zeal on all the four days of Zonal Youth Festival held at Khalsa College. Amongst a total of 17 colleges participating in the fest, HMV grabbed 23 positions out of 29 events. Girls ensnared first positions in Vaar Gayan, Folk Song, Geet/Gazal, Quiz, Phulkari and second positions in Classical (Non-Percussion), Mimicry, Kawishri, Classical Vocal, Photography, Painting on the Spot, Installation, Giddha and bagged third positions in Group Shabad, Collage Making, Cartooning, Poetical Symposium, Costume Parade, Folk Orchestra, General Dance, Mime and Classical (Percussion). All the students of the college were seen rejoicing in the college campus for the splendid performances and remarkable victories of the participants in the youth festival. The HMV family accorded a warm felicitation to the participants of the college.
College Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said, “Youth festival provides the students a platform to exhibit their talent and enhance their level of confidence. The Competition was really tough but our students and teachers hard work and effort paid them off”. She congratulated the Dean Youth Welfare Deptt. Mrs. Navroop and Co-Dean Ms. Shama Sharma and all other team in-charges on this brilliant achievement.
