HMV students went for Educational Trip to Punjab University

Jalandhar October 28 (Gurkirat Singh)- The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya visited Physics Department, Punjab University, Chandigarh to see the world’s largest CYCLOTRON. On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Kumar from Physics Department gave information about the world’s largest CYCLOTRON. He also explained theoretical concepts behind the working of Cyclotron. He also made the students aware of the researches in the field of particle physics and nuclear physics being carried out by the faculty and students of Physics Department of University. The students visited various research labs and experimental set up of the cyclotron. Research scholar Mr. Sidhanshu explained to the students the construction and working of the cyclotron and its application in the research. The incharges of this trip were Mrs. Saloni Sharma and Ms. Simmi Garg, Mr. Rikhi Ram Pal also accompanied the trip. Appreciating the efforts of the department, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that these kind of educational trips provide students an opportunity to learn practical things in innovative ways. Around 48 students of B.Sc. Semester V and B.Sc. Semester I were accompanied by their teachers.
