Jalandhar September 20 (Jaswinder Azad)- Committed to raise the leaders of tomorrow HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School in collaboration with the Student Council hosted the most momentous occasion of the year i.e., the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2019-20. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by DAV Gaan. School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal and Mrs. Urvashi Mishra. Dean Student Council extended green welcome to honourable Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. While addressing the students, Principal Madam directed the students to work in partnership for achieving personal and professional excellence in life. She further reminded them to fulfill their duties at all times with earnestness and passion and to conquer new heights and rise to challenges courageously. Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal also inspired the students to have a futuristic vision to lead by examples for others to follow. In the ceremony, the newly elected student council was officially vested with powers and positions. Sugandi Behl of SSC II (Commerce) was pinned the badge of Head Girl. The oath was administered by the newly elected head girl and the members pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities and to hold the motto of loyalty, truth and honour in the high esteem. Thereafter, badges were conferred on the newly elected student leaders. The post of Joint Head Girl was held by Taranjeet Kaur and Tanya Khurana. The post of Assistant Head Girl was held by Simran Saini, Prachi and Srishti Garg. 9 students were elected for the HMV task force and 11 students were elected as the Class Representatives. The stage was conducted by Prabhsimran Kaur and Muskan. On this occasion, faculty members of collegiate school were also present.
