KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Organizes an Extempore Competition

Jalandhar May 10 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organized an Extempore competition for the students of 10+1 & 10+2 classes (Arts, Commerce, Medical & Non-Medical). The students from all the streams participated in the competition. They were given various topics on current issues, social issues and issues related to day to day life. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressed the students and averred that extempore is a very unique way of enhancing one’s communication skills. She lauded the students for participating in huge number and also motivated them to keep taking part in such activities in the future as well. She also distributed the prizes to the winners of the competition. First prize was bagged by Aditi and Khyati(10+1) Arts jointly. Second prize was bagged by Baljot(10+2) Arts and the third prize was bagged by Birpartap (10+1) Commerce. Consolation prizes were given to Smriti (10+1) Arts and Ashvinder (10+2) Non Medical. Dr Reena Sharma was the judge of the competition. She further averred that such competitions must go hand in hand with academics as they inculcate confidence in the students and enhance their presence of mind along with communication skills.
