Jalandhar August 20 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 in India by India Today Ranking formally inaugurated a 4 Day Book Exhibititon in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi New Delhi. The exhibition was inaugurated by Principal KMV, Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. The book exhibition will remain open from 20 to 23 August. The exhibition showcases various books pertaining to literature in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Sanskrit and many children books were also displayed. Addressing the inaugural function, Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred on the need for making these types of book exhibitions a part of the students’ curriculum. She also highlighted the benefits of the book fair to the faculty as well as to the students. She further maintained that it is the responsibility of every teacher in the society to encourage the students to read more and more books. She also took a round of the exhibition and examined various types of books present in the exhibition. She congratulated Dr Madhumeet, Dean Languages, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Sanskrit for successfully organizing the book fair. She also invited all the scholars and the students from all institutions of Jalandhar to visit the exhibition as they can benefit a lot from the books published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
