Jalandhar May 18 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar’s Post Graduate Department of Punjabi organized a Three Day Educational Trip to Andreta, Himachal Pardesh. More than 40 students participated in this trip with full zeal. During the visit students visited theatre established by Naura Richard, the pioneer of theatre in Punjab and gathered knowledge about various efforts done by her to established theatre in Punjabi language. The student were also taken to the art gallery of Sobha Singh and saw his beautiful creations in the form of paintings. Students also paid their visit to the factory of Gurcharan singh and got information about various tools and techniques used for the making of utensils. It is worth mentioning here that KMVites performed a play on the theme of April 13, 1919 at Naura Richard’s theatre. The Principal of the college Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the department of Punjabi for successfully organizing the trip.
