Jalandhar February 9 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous institution, Jalandhar’s Stress Buster Club organised Yoga and Meditation Lecture cum Workshop under Capability Enhancement and Development Scheme. Acharya Dr. Parbhakar Darshan from Indian Institute of Yoga and Management was the keynote speaker for the lecture. Along with him, Mr Ashutosh, Colonel Avinash and Madam Karuna was also present on the occasion. During his address, Acharya Prabhakar told the gathering that today everyone is living a very stressful life and every person is in the search of a peaceful and calm life, therefore meditation and yoga are the ways through which one can live a peaceful and happy life. He also emphasised on the fact that meditation can be done through yoga because a person who is deeply involved in yoga practices will be able to practice meditation effortlessly. During the workshop, Dr Parbhakar also demonstrated various techniques involved in meditation and he also motivated the audience to do meditation during the workshop. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that in today’s stressful and competitive world everyone is in the search of peace of mind, therefore yoga and meditation are the most effective ways to lead a peaceful life as through these practices one can become physically and mentally healthy. She also lauded the efforts of the organising team Dr Madhumeet, Mrs Rashmi Sharma, Ms Neetu and Dr Neeraj Sharma for organising such fruitful and knowledgeable activities for the students. She averred that Stress Buster Club which functions under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare conducts such meaningful activities from time to time as it is the primary requirement of the students to stay stress free.
