Jalandhar December 2 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar always takes initiative in organizing various informative programs to enhance knowledge and employability skills of the students. Realizing the fact that in modern era, competition is increasing in every sphere of life, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi takes keen interest in enabling the students to face the challenges of competitive world. In continuation with these efforts, one day store visit to Shoppers Stop at MBD Mall, Jalandhar was organized for the students of B.Voc. in Retail Management. During their visit, the students gained knowledge about various aspects of retail management like visual merchandising, theme selection, cash handling, EPOS, store design and layout, store keeping, handling of customer grievances, health and safety measures, discounting etc. They also got familiar with various brands, products and apparatus such as hangers, shelves, fire extinguisher, props and signage etc. The visit added o the student’s knowledge about the dynamic world of retail. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the students and the faculty for guiding them towards a safe and bright future and for successful running of B.Voc.(Retail Management) course under DDU Kaushal Kendra at KMV.
