KMV- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar Organizes Sukriti-19 Fashion Show

Spectacular & Colorful Display of Dresses Designed & Modeled by KMVites
Jalandhar March 27 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organized the Annual Fashion Fiesta Sukriti-19. The beautiful and eye-catching colors of creativity were seen on the dresses presented by KMVites. The students showcased their wondrous creativity on the dress materials as they presented their creations. The Fashion Show was a collaborative venture of many departments of KMV like Fashion Designing, Kaushal Kendra, Retail Management, Cosmetology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Languages & Fine Arts. The show saw confident models walking the ramp displaying world class designs of 300 budding designers. The atmosphere of the fashion show became more pleasing with soothing colors presented on the ramp. The fashion show was divided into various segments and in each segment the audience and the judges were able to explore a new form of creativity. The show was divided into 10 rounds namely Rangeelo Rajasthan, Black Forest Collection, Classical Kingdoms Collection, Frolic Applique, Sparkling Hues, An Array of Peaches & Pinks, Blossom Vestidos, Corporate Chic, Prachin Adakari and Regal Pink Perfection. During the glamour filled evening, KMVites creatively presented various ethnic wear, traditional wear, office wear, western dresses, evening gowns, Indo Western style, short skirts with frills and ruffles, Innovative Saree Drapes, Lehngas etc. The creativity of the students was much appreciated by the judges and the faculty members as the models walked over the ramp with much grace and confidence. It is worth a mention here that over the years KMVites have availed a lot by being a part of this prestigious Fashion Show. Our student, Navpreet Kaur has been among top 5 finalist of Femina Miss India, Priyanshi has been adjudged Miss Himachal Beauty Angel, Pardeep Kaur went up to become Miss Punjaban and Dhee Punjab Di, Ms Barun is a model and an excellent anchor. Kamakshi won Miss Punjaban Mutiyaar title and Miss Neha has also won many titles. Ms Vishali has also been placed as a Designer in Monte Carlo, Ms Reva has got her placement in Marks & Spencer and Ms Minakshi Suri is also working as a Fashion Designer in Octave Apparels, Ms Manpreet Dhot is working with ASN Global Gurgaon, Ms Aditi Bhatti is working with Duke Pvt. Ltd., Ms Swati Verma is working with William E Connor Gurgaon, Ms Richa has got her placement with Octave Apparel and Ms Vishali is working with Monte Carlo. The breathtakingly beautiful presence of young beautiful models was complemented by the presence of dignitaries from various walks of life. It included Sh. Varinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, Sh. Jagdish Raja, Mayor, Jalandhar and Mrs Jagdish Raja, Sh. Diparv Lakra, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation,Jalandhar, Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal, Mrs Neerja Chandar Mohan, Sh. Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Mrs Anuradha Sondhi, Dr Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Major Gen.G.G. Dwivedi. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Dr. Satpal Gupta welcomed and thanked all the guests for their constant patronage and encouragement which went a long way to make the show a thumping success year after year. She also congratulated the organizers for consistently pushing up the high standard of bars of performance that they set up for themselves year after year. Dr Deepali Luthra, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Mr Punit Arora, Prominent Fashion Designer & Mr Anuj Lalwani, renowned fashion expert were the judges during the show.
