Jalandhar July 28 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 College in India by India Today ranking introduced one month summer training at various institutions and industries in India to the students of M.Sc. Chemistry students as a part of the curriculum. Students have completed their one month industrial internship at various industries such as Verka Milk Plant, Jalandhar & Hoshiarpur, NBR Herbal, Hoshiarpur, Gnosis Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., Himachal Pradesh & Purolite Chemicals etc. The training provided the students rare opportunity to work on various sophisticated instruments in Research and Development and quality control departments. The students were also sensitized about the precautions to be taken while working in cGMP environment and the transfer of lab to land technology. Students also learnt about the importance of chemist in industries and the vast avenues available to them after doing MSc Chemistry. It is important to mention that KMV has been conferred with ”Star College” status by DBT, Government of India Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students for the successful completion of one month industrial training and also wished them good luck for all their future endeavours. She averred that the training has widened the horizons of the students and also motivated them to take responsibility and to work efficiently as a team.
