Jalandhar January 20 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar have always encouraged its faculty to become more research oriented and innovative in its approach. Keeping with the trend, Dr. Narinderjit Kaur from P.G. Department of Chemistry was honoured by the college Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi for her contribution to the field of research. Recently, Dr. Narinderjit Kaur has been awarded with the PhD degree from IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. The topic of her PhD thesis was “Study of Green and Efficient Solvent Extraction of Dyes from Textile Effluent using Reverse Micelles”. She also has many publications to her credit in various acclaimed journals such as SCI and SCOUPUS. It is important to mention that Dr. Narinderjit has been awarded with ‘Award of Excellence in Research’ by Madam Principal in 2018. She also got best paper presentation awards in International Conference on Science and Technology: Trends and Challenges organized by GGN Khalsa College, Ludhiana and National Seminar on RACS-III organized by Khalsa College, Amritsar. Dr. Narinderjit Kaur has also presented various research papers in many national and international forums. She also availed a grant for a project under seed money granted by KMV for researchers. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr.Narinderjit Kaur for her ample contribution to the research and averred that KMV provides a very suitable ambience for teachers to pursue their research oriented activities.
