Jalandhar November 29 (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar have always encouraged its faculty to become more research oriented and innovative in its approach. Keeping with the trend, Dr. Pardeep Arora from Department of Computer Science was honoured by the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi for his contribution to the field of research. Recently, Dr Arora has been awarded the with the PhD degree from Thapar University, Patiala. The topic of his PhD thesis was Agent based Regression Testing. He also has many publications to his credit in various acclaimed journals such as SCI and SCOPUS. He is also part of the reviewer board of these journals. It is important to mention that Dr Arora has completed two Major Research Projects awarded by UGC worth rupees 11.5 lacs on ”Rural Geographic Information System” and the second project as a co-investigator on ”Data Mining and Analysis of Indian Academicians in Foreign Universities for exploring opportunities of Academic interaction” worth rupees 60 lacs awarded by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Along with these major projects, he has also completed a Minor Research Project by UGC. Dr Arora has also presented various research papers in many national and international forums. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr Pardeep Arora for his ample contribution to the research and averred that KMV provides a very suitable ambience for the teachers to pursue their research oriented activities.
