Jalandhar December 28 (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College consolidated its position as the leading institute in Cultural activities by winning the Inter-College Folk Dance Competition held at Guru Nanak National College, Nakodar. The Bhangra and Giddha teams of the college won a cash prize of Rs. 11,000 in addition to the first place position. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra congratulated and honoured the staff members associated with these teams as in charge, namely Prof. Palwinder Singh, Prof. Amritpal Singh, Prof. Supreet Kaur and Prof. Harbinder Kaur along with all the participating members of the victorious teams. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra proudly mentioned the simultaneous and parallel achievements of the college in the fields of Academics, Culture and Sports at the same time. He also informed that the cultural teams of the college have gone beyond attaining top positions in University Youth Festivals to realising the responsibility to uphold the rich traditions of Punjabi Culture and way of life. Staff members and students of the college also witnessed the aforementioned occasion.
