Jalandhar November 10 (Jaswinder Azad)- The Punjab centre of Migration Studies, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organised a one day seminar in collaboration with the British High Commission New Delhi. College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra welcomed the guests and hoped for a further and continued collaboration between the two parties in the near future. Mr. William and Ms. Sue from the British High Commission New Delhi informed about the various facets of British migration system, problems in visa acquisition, student visa rules and regulations in full details. They also highlighted the transparency in documents submission as an important part of visa acquisition process whilst also informing about the dangers of illegal methods of attaining visa. Dr. Surinder Pal Mand Co-coordinator of the Punjab centre of Migration Studies informed about the basic purpose of the seminar aimed at providing valuable information to the students. Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar, Head of the Department of Punjabi also lauded the efforts made by the Centre for Migration Studies in providing useful knowledge for the students. On this occasion, Ravi Himadari, Director of Daaji Organization and Mahesh Raheja thanked Lyallpur Khalsa College and the Punjab Centre for Migration Studies for organising this program. Faculty members from various departments of the college and students were also present on this occasion.
