Jalandhar October 22 (Jaswinder Azad)- Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a special program to honour Dr. Harjinder Singh Dhillon, former faculty member of the Department and former Head of the School of Studies (Regional Center), Guru Nanak Dev University. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar Head, PG Department of Punjabi duly welcomed and honored Dr. Harjinder Singh Dhillon for his immensely valuable research based contributions to the field of Sufi and Gurmat Verse. While interacting with the students and staff of the college, Dr. Harjinder Singh Dhillon fondly relived his decade long stay in the college and engaged in an expressive interaction with the audience. On this occasion, he also presented valuable books to the library of the Department of Punjabi as a token of his gratitude towards the institution. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra thanked Dr. Harjinder Singh Dhillon for his kind gesture and also appreciated his sentiments for the college. Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, Department of Punjabi described the exemplary efforts put forth by Dr. Harjinder Singh Dhillon regarding Punjabi Literature. Faculty members of the Department of Punjabi were also present on the occasion.
