Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi Principal KMV Honoured on the Occasion of Teachers Day

Occasion of Teachers DayJalandhar September 5 (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 in India by India Today celebrated Teachers Day. The event witnessed the honouring of Principal of the college, Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi for her outstanding and remarkable contribution in the development of the college and taking the college to new heights. Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal & Mrs Neerja Chander Mohan, Member, KMV Managing Committee graced the occasion along with Dr Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Mr Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Satpal Gupta, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Kamal Gupta, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Kamal Gupta, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Dr Deepali, Mrs Sushila Bhagat & Mrs Neeru Kapoor. The event commenced with PowerPoint presentation presented by Dr. Gopi Sharma depicting the achievements of Madam Principal during her tenure of 11 years as the principal. A short movie clip was also previewed to the students showcasing the different shades of personality of Principal Madam’s life. Dr Madhumeet conducted the stage & apprised all with the achievements of phenomenal personality of Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. Video messages congratulating the Madam Principal from the foreign scholars and teachers & from her family members were also shown during the event. Addressing the gathering, Sh. Chander Mohan averred that the teacher is the Nation Builder of the society & plays a vital role in the reformation of the society. Complimenting the Madam Principal, he maintained that under the dynamic leadership of Madam Principal KMV has attained new heights & has worked for the overall growth of the students. During her address to the students, Madam Principal averred that a teacher plays a very important role in the life of the student & it is the duty of every student to always remain grateful to the teacher. She further maintained that she considers her mother, Smt. Parkash Sharma as her teacher & mentor who have guided her during the all ups and downs of her life. Madam Principal also lauded the efforts of Mrs Seema Jain, Dr Madhumeet, Dr Gurjot, Mrs Parminder & Mrs Suman Khurana for organizing such a beautiful event. During the end of the event, a folk dance presentation was also staged by the students.
