Jalandhar October 25 (Jaswinder Azad)- St. Soldier Law College today organized a seminar on Recent Treads in Taxation Law. Sh. Prince Chopra, Pro-Chairman of the group inaugurated the seminar. He appreciated the initiative of law College for holding seminar on a very relevant and current topic. Sh. Rajesh K.Kakkar C.A, President Taxation Bar Association was the Key-speaker. In his lively and informative presentation, he referred to recent trends of Presumptive Income for taxation, its payment schedule TDS and TCS. Mr. Kakkar disclosed income tax paying population in India is less than 5% which is far behind about 50% in some developed countries.Amongstseminarians were Dr.T.S Bagga (GNDU), Dr. Komal Mehta (GNDU), Prof. Munish Gupta, Prof Parminder, Prof.Minakshi Sharma, Prof. Kranti Kumar and Prof Hemant Pandey from Law and Commerce faculties. Mrs. Veena Dada, Director Co-ed College was the guest of honour.
Earlier the College, Director Dr. Subhash C. Sharma welcomed the guests and outlined the objective of the seminar. Prof. Monica Khanna conducted the proceedings of the seminar and Prof. Simi Thind presented vote of thanks. Dr. Sharma disclosed that book on Taxation Law will be published by the College.
