Trip to Naina Devi and Virasat-E-Khalsa by HMV Collegiate students

Jalandhar December 16 (Jaswinder Azad)- To enable the students to build closer bonds with their classmates, experience new environments and enjoy a day off from the classroom, an educational tour to Naina Devi and Virsat-E-Khalsa Heritage complex was organized by HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School. The trip was organized under the amiable guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Mrs. M. Syal, School Coordinator and Dr. Rajiv Kumar (Pol.Sc. Deptt.). Around fifty students visited Naina Devi which is one of the most important Shakti Peeths of India located in Bilaspur. The students enjoyed the natural surrounding and felt solace and peace in the abode of devotion and faith. Students captured those moments to cherish for a life time. Thereafter, students visited Virasat-E-Khalsa, a masterpiece of rich sikh culture and religious history. It left the students awe-stuck and kept them going to know more and more about history and culture of Punjab. They were amazed to see the museum building which was shaped like hands offering prayers. Students spent fun filled moments and also captured moments of happiness, fun and friendship to share them with their dear ones. Peals of laughter and echoes of glee remained an inevitable part of the journey. It was a memorable and joyful experience for students to cherish forever. Faculty members from Collegiate School Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Ms. Arvinder Kaur, Ms. Preety Babbar accompanied the students. This maiden effort by the school drew appreciation from parents as well as students.
