Jalandhar November 18 (Jaswinder Azad)- HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrated Vigilance Awareness Week in collaboration with Punjab National Bank. The event was organized under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and the support of School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal. The guest of the event Mr. Bhupinder Jain, Chief Manager Circle Office Jalandhar, Ms. Jaspreet Branch Head PNB, HMV Branch were welcomed with planter by School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Mrs. Neety Sood, senior faculty member. On this occasion a declamation contest was organized on the topic ‘Eradicate Corruption-Build a new India’. The students of SSC I and SSC II participated with full zeal and zest. The competition was adjudged by Mrs. Nita Malik, Head of Pol.Sc. Deptt. and Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Asstt. Prof. in Economics. The guest of the evening Mr. Bhupinder Jain while addressing the students said that the major onus of freeing India from all social evils lies on the shoulders of our youth who are the torchbearers of our nation. He also encouraged the students to bear good values and work relentlessly towards the achievement of their goal. The student of SSC I Arts, Gursimran got first position, Sanya Aggarwal, SSC II Commerce got second position and Harpreet Kaur, SSC I Non Med. got third position. Consolation prizes were also given to all the participants. Thereafter, pledge was taken by the students to be vigilant and commit to the highest standards of honesty and integrity and follow rule of law in all walks of life.
